Taking a cue from not only The Most Dangerous Game, The Running Man, Survivor and the extreme and bizarre Japanese Game Shows of the late 90's. Slashers was an extremely bold undertaking back in the late early millennium. Beyond the insane yet stylistically fun premise, you have quite possibly the perfect party movie to watch with friends or have on in the background. All shown from the almost one-take, real time view of the lone cameraman. He's tasked with not interfering with the contestants and the slashers but making sure he's got not only the shot, but the spectacle of it all. We highly recommend checking out the special features as well as digging into the background & making of Slashers. That's because what director Maurice Deveraux & everyone put together was right on the cusp of what's starting to feel like the current cultural zeitgeist in reality and it's blurred lines and false narrative trickery. Definitely check it out and you'll be shouting "supah-fine!" to the theme as the end credits roll" - OFFF
